mutalk 2には音質を向上させるためのノイズリダクション機能が備わっています。この機能は、一定の音量で継続して鳴っている音などを検知して抑え込みます。通常の会話においては音質向上に役立ちますが、ロングトーン（あーー、などと伸ばす音）を伴う歌唱などにおいてはロングトーンの途中で強制的に音量を絞られてしまい、歌唱が成立しません。歌唱など、ロングトーンを多用する使い方をされる場合は、この機能を使ってノイズリダクション機能を無効にしてください。無効にすると、ノイズが増え、マイク音量が若干下がります。
出荷時はノイズリダクション機能が有効になっています。ノイズリダクションを無効にするには、mutalk 2の電源ボタンを2回短く押したあと、2秒程度長押ししてください（3回連打し、3回目を2秒ほど長押しする）。この操作をするとき、連打スピード（ボタン操作間隔）が重要で、少しでもボタン操作が遅れると認識しません。音声出力端子にイヤホンを装着し、音声メッセージを聞きながら実施いただくと確実です。操作に成功すると’Noise reduction on（ノイズリダクション機能無効化に成功）’ ‘Noise reduction off(ノイズリダクション機能有効化に成功)’いずれかの音声メッセージが流れます。
The mutalk 2 has a noise reduction to improve sound quality. This function detects and suppresses sounds that are continuously played at a certain volume. This helps to improve sound quality in normal speech, but in singing with long tones (e.g. ahhhhh, etc.), the volume will be forced to decrease. If you use long tones a lot, such as in singing, please disable the noise reduction. If disabled, the noise will increase and the microphone volume will decrease slightly.
Initially, the noise reduction was enabled. To disable it, press the mutalk 2 power button twice briefly and then press and hold the button for about two seconds (three consecutive presses, then press and hold the third press for two seconds).When performing this operation, the speed of the consecutive presses (button operation interval) is important; if the button operation is delayed even slightly, it will not be recognised. It is recommended that you wear earphones in the audio output terminal and listen to the voice message while performing this operation. If the operation is successful, either 'Noise reduction on' or 'Noise reduction off' will be played.
